I still don't have this working.
Can anyone explain me how I retrieve the time at which my sample will
be rendered by the auhal renderer?
I need to provide this time to my VLC audio layer in order to get the
right sample from the vlc core. This was possible in CoreAudio by using
outTimestamp, but I don't see a similar method for AUHAL.
If getting the rendertime is impossible, then perhaps it's possible to
get the render delay instead? VLC simply refuses if I ask for samples
for the current time, or one in the past. It wants a proper rendertime.
I'm very committed to getting discrete multichannel audio output
working _properly_ in VLC (which would make us the first free
application to do so I believe), but I'm finding it very difficult to
getting any good documentation and support on this particular subject.
Audio just isn't my specialty, so you will have to cut me some slack.
