Hi

I think that technically this would be possible, but someone would have to use the SPI (Service Provider's Interface) to create a Synthesizer class that leverages a QuickTime synthesizer. I'm not aware of solution that does this.

An alternative approach is to abandon the usage of javax.sound.midi Synthesizer and try calling the Quick Time API instead. I'm fairly certain that Apple provides a Java version of the API, but I've never used it.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful

I wrote a little music composer for ClanLord (mmorpg) players. I wrote it with javax.sound.midi, but it turns out that DeltaTao uses the quicktime synth instruments. Does anyone know if it is possible to use the quicktime soundbank with javax.sound.midi? I don't know much about the QuickTime api, so it would be a big help. -Thanks
