sorry if this is too far afield for this list, redirects appreciated.
I'm trying to balance an audio system configuration on a 1GHz/TiBook
and am wondering what the relative performance of the cardbus slot is
versus the firewire port with respect to audio processing. Is it
better to chain
the audio interface and storage media off the single firewire port or
can
better throughput be obtained by splitting with either I/O on firewire
and
storage on cardbus or vice versa. Or to put it another way, does
servicing
the cardbus slot take more cpu than it's worth.
