AudioTimeStamp Confusion

  • Subject: AudioTimeStamp Confusion

Hello,

I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out the fields in an AudioTimeStamp.  The CoreAudioTypes header describes the mSampleTime field as "The absolute sample frame time.".  In What Units?  The descriptions would be much more helpful if they included the units the data are in.

More specific to my problem, say you want to call the render proc for a given audio unit and you want to get it to render some samples immediately.  What are the minimum
correct settings for the time stamp.

Thanks in Advance

Wayne
