Well I am pretty sure (and presumptuous) that you won't think they
are good reasons.
1. OS 9 product uses the same (or very similar) code.
2. Support for OS 10.2 or later.
3. Have not looked at MusicPlayer since it was not around when this
code was originally written.
I am not playing MIDI files just MIDI events (including notes) in
real time. Does MusicPlayer support that?
A user can currently work around this by instantiating the DLS
MusicDevice directly so it is not a big deal for me. I just figured
you might want to know.
(That same bug may exist with the default MusicSequence graph, but
we'd be eager to fix *that*, and it can be worked around since the
graph is exposed for you to manipulate).
