Hopefully there's a unit left at Apple. It reports to be asynchrous but infact it is
only in digital mode (external sync) mode. It crackles from time to time (e.g. 10min)
what is linear dependant on the delta of feedback. But contact me privately for
hardware at any time.
That's a basic issue, easy to be reproduced with that unit and keeping companies
from manufacturing professional USB audio units not using samplerate converters
on digital input. Such stuff seems to be currently Win XP only.
Guess you know someone to check that out. :-)
