AMS IAC bus: source available?

  • Subject: AMS IAC bus: source available?

For reasons I won't get into here, I'd like to take a look at the possibility of writing a midi loopback driver that appears in AudioMidi Setup. This would need to take any output from an app and route that to an input port that other apps could use. Ideally, the number of ports should be user-definable.

The obvious thing to base this on would be the IAC driver. Is the source for this available?

Alternately, I guess I could look at a "fake" USB midi driver to do this. Is this sort of thing technically possible, based on the sample USBMidi driver?
