Since MAC_OS_X_VERSION_10_4 is not defined, please modify the #if block in CAAudioFile.h to include the contents of the "#if MAC_OS_X_VERSION_MAX_ALLOWED < MAC_OS_X_VERSION_10_4" block, and remove the related "#else" block.

That was the first thing I did, some while ago. This is what reveals the syntax error involving a comma, and two undefined symbols:

kAudioConverterPropertySettings
kAudioUnitType_Generator.

If you continue to have problems, please see http://developer.apple.com/qa/qa2004/qa1386.html

Been there, done all that (several times), including, most recently, updating to CoreAudioSDK 1.3.3). The problems are continuing!

Am I alone in finding it it weird, and dubious, that an ostensibly user-level application update should take it upon itself to update (or indeed modify in any way) developer source files? What files does it update, exactly?
