AudioUnitParameterInfo name and cfNameString clarification

Hello All,

I am seeking clarification of the purpose of the name field in the AudioUnitParameterInfo structure. In the examples that I have seen, these fields are initialized with the same strings. I have also noticed that the Host applications that I have tested use the cfNameString for the displayed description.

My question is, can I use the name field for internal tracking information or is it used separately in some other way?
