I had the same problem when I moved to Xcode 2.1
I followed the advice of the CoreAudio team and added this to the target settings which solved the problem.

I have built some of the sample AUs: SampleEffectUnit & ReverseOfflineUnit. I cannot get them to load (apparently). I have followed the instructions (.../SampleAUs/Readme.rtf) to try to create sym links to them. This fails. I have also tried just copying them into the appropriate directory (ie both system & user.) This also fails. (Of course, each attempt is concluded with a log out-in to force a reload.)

Interesting side note... Using AUValidation, I get a list of AUs that does not contain any offline units (type == 'auol'). However, from code, when I call CountComponents with this type, I get a count of two. On further inspection, those are: OfflineTimePitch and OfflineVariSpeed. I cannot seem to load ReverseOfflineUnit.

Yes, I noticed this omission too. You can do this however:

% auval -a auol

(The -a option takes *any* component type)

And Eric's suggestion is probably the problem. We're going to have an SDK release in the not too distant future that will have this issue fixed.

I'm sure I'm missing something rather important. Any help/ suggestions greatly appreciated...
