If you're programming in Java then you should avoid the com.apple Java packages as they are not portable.

Thanks Bob, but portability is really not an issue for the things I want to do at this stage. I'm using Java for another reason entirely.


Q: does the Java Sound API expose all CoreMIDI's abilities (virtual port creation etc)?
