Creating a varispeed converter

  • Subject: Creating a varispeed converter

Hi,

Is there any way to get a direct instance of a Varispeed converter.  I can get one wrapped as an AudioUnit
by creating a graph then setting up a ComponentDescription, calling AUGraphNewNode with the description and then calling
AUGraphGetNodeInfo.  While this works, it seems like a waste if I really don't need the graph.  Since a varispeed converter is
an AudioConverter, what I would like is something like AudioConverterNew for a varispeed converter.

Alternatively, A varispeed AudioUnit would be OK, is there any way to create an AudioUnit  without going through the graph and node
creation process.

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks in advance for any help

Wayne
