Well, it's as good as finished now

If you have a 3rd party audio device, then I would love to know how
this is working for you.
Limitations
- does not support digital output
- 6.1 and 7.1 configurations are not yet fully supported (channel order
issue).
- speaker configuration is not always a known. You need to have set it
in AMS (even if it is correct, you need to change it, and then change
back)
- doesn't support hardware setup changes during playback.
Test with both mp3 and DVD to make sure everything is working. I would
like to hear both succes stories and failures alike.
The "final" source code:

If anyone spots an error, in for instance my local buffer (added to
deal with changing inNumberFrames), or anyone else, please tell me :D
A big thanks to all the people (coreaudio-api list, arstechnica forum
and the fellow VLC devs) who assisted me over the past few months and
had to put up with my endless questions about the workings of audio
processing.
VLC is now the first opensource application that supports multichannel
analog audio output, channel reordering, and channel mixing as far as
I'm aware. Woooohooooooooooo
