"hog mode" for midi?

  • Subject: "hog mode" for midi?

Is there such a thing as the equivalent of hog-mode for a specific port in CoreMidi?

It would be hugely advantageous for apps that preprocess a midi stream to be able to hog a midi input port, rendering that port invisible to other apps and communicating with said apps via a virtual source port, sending them the processed midi input from the hogged port.

If so, any pointers to the relevant docs welcome, thanks.
