Why setting smoothness to 100% is less CPU intensive? (Using AUHost + Top)

    kTimePitchParam_Smoothness = 3
    kTimePitchParam_Tightness = 4

Use AudioUnitSetParameter() as usual to set these.
both take values from 0 -> 100.
