Custom StereoMixer

I'm interested in creating a simple AudioUnit:
- it should FLATTEN the stereo signal (get both channels, sum them and then copy the result in both channels again)
- enable to set the "pan" (the result gotten in the first step, divide it to simulate the pan).

This is to simulate two (mono) sound outputs in only one stream, so the user can plug it's computer left channel to an amplifier and the computer right channel to headphones.

I'm not sure if there is already an audiounit that creates the first step (flattening), because the second one I can do it with a stereomixer...

Thanks...
