Hi,
Hi Micheal,

IMHO (and I don't want to start a discussion here), AU could benefit from
a reference host. Then I could check such info by seeing how the ref host
reacts, instead of having to waste your time verifying it.
There is a reference host exactly for this development purpose:
/Developer/Applications/Audio/AULab
Great, so... The way AULab is behaving is the way I should expect all hosts
to behave?
As an example: As I understand it, the channel count can be changed
dynamically (uninitialize -> channel count change -> initialize), and this
is someething AULab does?
(Just an example, the point is, as a reference host it should utilize all
the featues of AU).
Greets,
Michael Olsen
(it was introduced around the time Tiger was released, you can run it on
Panther too but I'm not sure if it's available as a separate download
somewhere - Bill will know)
Best,
Stefan
