Hi Guys, I'm still messing around trying to use the old Java API on 10.4 Tiger..... I'd like to modify the defined component types on the system as the Java API seems to be missing some, notably, kAudioUnitType_Generator and kAudioUnitSubType_AudioFilePlayer.

I was struggling to identify which AUConstants.java (as there were a few versions on my machine) was being referenced by my code (using import com.apple.audio.units) so removed all copies of this class and its builds from my machine in the hope that i could put them back in to place one by one and therefore find the correct file.... however, my code still runs fine even though its referencing a class that no longer exists, in the IDE it still offers me the list of methods and variables from that class even though it should have been removed

any ideas? im using netbeans and 10.4 tiger, i've searched for the file (including hidden files) using terminal and it tells me its not there!

ultimately, im just trying to play audio on 10.4 using the old java API so if anyone has any ideas/help they would be greatly appreciated

cheers

Sam
