Hello list,
I have a customer using a MOTU 896HD, and FuzzMeasure does not work
for him at all. Almost all applications (iTunes, Quicktime, a
"multitrack recording application", etc) can play audio through the
896HD with no problems. However, using FuzzMeasure, all he hears is
"clicking and popping" coming out of the device. When he switches
channels in FuzzMeasure, the "clicking and popping" simply moves to
other channels.
On his system, he can use the built-in audio with FuzzMeasure just
fine, so it's not a FuzzMeasure problem specific to his system in
general. Obviously, I'm tripping on something specific to this device.
I decided to ask on this list because he cannot get the Audio MIDI
Setup "Configure Speakers" applet to play sound properly either. He
hears the same clicking and popping that he hears in FuzzMeasure!
So, it would look like whatever bug I have in my code also exists in
Audio MIDI Setup with the MOTU 896HD. If any of you folks who have
access to the Audio MIDI Setup code, and an 896HD to test this with,
I'd love to hear what's going on here.
Alternatively, if anyone has access to an 896HD and would like to
share the dump of its AudioStreamBasicDescription, I'd really
appreciate it.
