Is there any way to use auaudiofileplayer in Panther? It seems way more reliable than CAAudioFilePlayer (AudioFile-New: SDK).

I don't think so. It uses a new AudioUnit that's only in Tiger.

Anyway, if I cannot use it, I will keep using CAAudioFilePlayer. The problem I have with CAAudioFilePlayer is that if I want to seek to a special position, it won't clear the buffers.

I've manually managed to do this, but it causes it to crash sometimes...

Do someone have any experience with CAAudioFilePlayer, and how to seek to a particular position without the buffer tail?

I've done this by stopping the player, setting the position, then starting the player again.
