I tried to send this on Friday, but alas, it was over the size limit. So, I am posting in installments; this is the first of four...

It helps to send as plain text. Mail generates excessive html (using an inline style at each style run when it should define styles once in the header).

For example it generates the following just to print one "{" character.

<DIV style=3D"margin-top: 0px; =
margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><FONT =
class=3D"Apple-style-span" face=3D"Monaco" size=3D"2"><SPAN =
class=3D"Apple-style-span" style=3D"font-size: =
10px;">{</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

I think I'll write a radar..
