Sorry, the only documentation is the code. It's on my list of things to do to write something better =)

If you check out the recent threads about glitching in iTunes, I posted an explanation about how the IO cycle telemetry works and how to use on a basic level. Check that out, and feel free to follow up with any additional questions.
