Yes, avoiding all lower-case is consistent with Apple's documentation.
I would suggest using "fLaC" since that is the magic number for FLAC streams,
and would be consistent with the format itself.
P.S. Props to anyone who gets FLAC support into Mac OS X. I'll certainly be
using it!

One clarification: when picking a 4-char-code for your codec's data
format, please use all uppercase or mixed-case. Codec 4-char-codes
that are all lower-case are reserved to Apple (and I think to some
ISO standards committees). So don't use 'flac', use 'FLAC'. Or 'Flac'.
