directing audio to different channels on a device

  • Subject: directing audio to different channels on a device

Hi all,

I am new to Mac audio development and I figured this list could help, or at least point me to a place that can help. I have a firewire audio device that supports 8 channels of output. What I would like to do is use those 8 channels as 4 stereo outputs so that I can play separate audio tracks to each of the four outputs. Is this possible to do? If so, where would I start to look to accomplish this?

Thank you for your help,

Bryan Bonczek email@hidden
