SoundConverterGetInfo & SoundComponentGetInfo

Hi all,

What would be the difference if in my program I called a
SoundComponentSetInfo or SoundConverterGetInfo with
siCompressionParams ?

Shouldnt SoundConverterGetInfo take care of whatever component I am
using while performing the sound operations ?
