Torrey, Greetings!

To be honest, I've never tried to create a configuration app for the plugin interface. I'll take a look at this next week and let you know my findings.

Well, I learned some things. My Preferences Panel talks to the plugin, getting and setting the plugin's custom properties. It uses IORegistryEntrySetCFProperty on the user space side &, here's the bit that was a little tricky to ferret out: My plugin implemented setProperties to override a do-nothing version in IORegistryEntry.

Now, it turns out that there is still a question outstanding. I haven't received the audio-processing code that this plugin will use on the samples it is intercepting so I don't know how much latency the plugin will be adding but: How much added latency can this situation tolerate? I read somewhere that accurate timestamps are very important & that the HAL will discard them if they are too messed up. Am I worrying prematurely?

Peace,
Bob
