I just added SupportedNumChannels() to the SinSynth example and it shows up in AULab.
Look for "Re: AU Lab does not show component" / Jan 26, 2006 by William Stewart.

My music device Audio Unit is not showing up in the list of available instruments in AULab.

When I examine AULab's cached info for my component, I see that the boolean values of both the "1" and "2" keyed values is "false." If I set either one of these to true, my unit shows up and seems to work as expected (early stages yet).

What is AULab doing to decide that I get "false" for both of these? The same seems to hold true for the "SinSynth" example.
