mp3 to aiff using extended audio file

Hi,

I'm using the extended audio file api to attempt to convert mp3 to aiff (48kHz, 16 bit). My code works fine if the input file is PCM, but with mp3 the routine runs for a few seconds, and generates 3 or 4 MB for output data, then gets an access error in MP3AudioFile::GetContiguousPacketCountAndSize, aways up the call stack from my call to ExtAudioFileRead. To trouble-shoot, I am only trying to read and write one packet at a time.

Anyone have similar experience and / or solutions?

Thanks,

Tim Bartoo
