Thanks Bill,

it works great now. Makes it easier to test my stuff. But it was a little bit tricky at first to execute your fix because all of the Property List entries in the .plist file are written in reverse. It took me some time to see this :-)

aumu is written as umua, aufx is written as xfua, appl-dls is written as sld-lppa and so on. Must be mac <-> intel byte swap thing here. But the fix works and thats more important. I just wanted to let you know.

Regards,
stiwi

This is a bug in the AU info that AULab is cacheing... It occurs if the AU (such as a generator or instrument) does not implement the supported num channels property - in that case the host assumes the initial config of the AU is the one that is valid. AULab is discarding this info for some reason (we're still looking into why).

The easiest fix is to go into:
~/Libraray/Application Support/AULab - you'll see a .plist file there
Open this in the PropertyList editor and look for the aumu entry, then locate the sub entry for your AU (or for the SinSynth) - you should see that the "2" key has a value of No, this should be changed to Yes (this is off the Data key)... We'll fix this in the next release of AULab, sorry about the inconvenience

Hi List,

i am doing some test on my intel mac with the SinSynth demo to play around with SSE3 code
but the au component does not show up in AU Labs dialog box. It compiles, auval is happy
and it works fine with Logic 7.2.0 dp2. The build is intel only no universal binary.

What do i need to do to make the SinSynth demo work with AU Lab?

Thanks for your help,
stiwi
