Just FTA, my DTK-replacement iMac Core Duo reports these Intel HD Audio devices as:

	Built-in Mic (2-ch stereo, L = R)
	Built-in Line In
	Built-in Output

Streams are mixable, 16-bit LE signed int and 20/24-bit LE signed int aligned low in 32. Buffer size ranges are each 14-3072 frames.

In addition, each device supports sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz.

In contrast, the DTK reported the same capabilities for its HD Output, but HD Input was limited to 16- or 20-bits and only 44.1, 48, or 96 kHz.
