Hi Mike,

Our OXFW971 reference designs only implement master mute and volume
controls, but there's nothing to stop you controlling gain and mute on a
per-channel basis. To save wasted bandwidth, we should probably discuss this
off-line from CoreAudio.
However, I seem to recall that the native Firewire audio driver doesn't
fully support per-channel volume and mute controls via the AV/C command set.
Assuming so, you'll need to write a simple control application to process
the necessary command and response frames. Someone at Apple may like to
comment on how best to avoid any potential conflicts between CoreAudio and a
proprietary control panel.
Kind regards,
Andy
