I have found the definitions for kAudioUnitType_Generator ( = 'augn') and kAudioUnitSubType_AudioFilePlayer ( ='afpl') by inspecting a component manager info listing. These seem to work - at least I can get the AUGraph to instantiate without error.

My next questions - what is the definition of the various 'ScheduledFile' constants used in the playfile example? Is there any documentation on using the AUAudioFilePlayer from an API perspective? Why is this information so hard to find?
