Help me start with a simple GUI-free AudioUnit

Hello all!

I am new to Audio Units, but I am little more familiar to them than I thought I'd be by now thanks to the developer examples and the documentation/specification.

What I'd like to start off is a simple 2-3 parameter plugin with no GUI. I see the most simple plugin out there is the SampleEffectUnit (unless I am wrong), but my questions are:

1. Is there a way to automatically rename this SampleEffectUnit to e.g. MyEffect? Do I have to manually rename all strings in the files? Or I have to start a new XCode AudioUnit project based on parts of the SampleEffectUnit code?

2. How can I remove the Cocoa GIU part of this SampleEffectUnit project?

Thanks very much for any advise,

Artemiy.
