Oh, let's say I wanted to play audio out to multiple rooms using different
instances of 'standard' apps (like VLC) with a single audio device (for
example the Oxford Firewire-based chipset (OXFW971)).
Maybe there's a lot smarter way to do this w/ this kind of chipset.
