I'm near my limit on knowledge about this sort of stuff, but I bet
if you framed the question in a way that seemed more Unix-y and
less music-y that you could get some good answers from the folks on
the darwin-dev list. At any rate, I always see server/daemon
related questions on that list.

terminals console session? That can't be right because I can log
