First, you should try to use "sudo make install" command instead of "make install".

Second, you should consider building static library version instead of dynamic library, this would make installation step unnecessary.
Consult the "./configure --help" output on how to setup lame to be built as static only.

I pass through these steps : 1. ./configure 2. make 3. make install . Have I missed something?
Could somebody help me with this problem?
