What!? That's interesting indeed.
(...later...)
The hint helped. I found that copy-and-paste bug which caused the
failure. Stupid me! And I thought maybe I am the only person who is
interested in that feature, while everyone else is smart enough to
realize that it is not really meant to be used. Well, at least I know
now that Apple _has_ tested it, and that I can use it in AULab.
Whether I will find a host program which can show all of the multiple
views at the same time, so that I can watch their interactions, is a
different thing.
Thank you very much, Michael!

Jens,
Just as a test, I tested my multiview cocoa-based au in AU Lab
1.0.3 and it also works there. This must be something that you are
doing incorrectly. Could you please tell me a bit more about how
you are doing this, or if you like, I would be happy to send you a
working example.
Thanks,
Michael

I'm afraid it doesn't. It seems to take the first class name
multiple times.
Okay, that discouraged me enough from using the multiple views
feature. Sorry for disturbing.
Jens
