AU not recognised by some hosts

Hi,

This is a bit of a beginner question, sorry. I have an AudioUnit plugin built, which is recognised and functions (more-or-less correctly) in Ableton Live 6 and Bias Peak 5 (on OSX 10.4).

However, neither AULab or Logic even see this plugin. When I try to add it as an effect, its not even in the list for me to select.

Please can anyone suggest what sort of things would cause AULab and Logic not to even "see" an AU? How do I go about debugging this?

Any help gratefully received.
