using AudioUnits for drm decoding ?

  • Subject: using AudioUnits for drm decoding ?

HI there,

First, don't misread me : drm is for Digital Radio
Mondiale.

I've been through the doc of the DReaM software
(http://drm.sourceforge.net).
This document
(http://drm.sourceforge.net/papers/Software_Implementation_of_a_Digital_Radio_Mondiale_(DRM)_Receiver,_Part_I_(Framework).pdf)
explains how to implement a software DRM receiver.

What I understood is that the soundcard input is used
for decoding the binary packets. The decoding steps
are made by several modules to which data packets are
passed sequentially.

Can we imagine that these modules could be dedicated
AudioUnits ?
In this way, DRM decoding won't be made by a
standalone software but by AUs that can be used by any
OS X softwares.

Thanks,
Ionel
