Sending NoteOff Events to the Internal Synth

  • Subject: Sending NoteOff Events to the Internal Synth

I am using the MusicPlayer API to play MIDI files in my MIDI Player application. I also have an 'All Notes Off' menu so that users can quickly kill any 'stuck' notes. This just sends a NoteOff Message to all channels. It works fine on an external device and I can see the commands being sent using MIDI Monitor, however it has no effect when sent to the default internal synth. Is there something special I need to do to get this to work?

Thanks!
