Good question. I don't really know the answer to that.



If you are talking about the API set that includes: 'kAudioDevicePropertyChannelName, kAudioDevicePropertyChannelCategoryName' for stream/channel names then Metro supports it. 


I think M-Audio and other drivers support this API as well.
