Hi Folks,
Probably a question for Apple.
We have a machine here that we use for test and support and one of the
things that we do with it is create and destroy Aggregate devices using AMS.
Just today, things have gone south on this machine. If we create an
aggregate device in AMS, it shows up in the Aggregate device editor, but it
does not appear in the list of available devices in AMS or in any other
CoreAudio app.
It appears that something persistent has gotten corrupted (this problem
continues across reboots).
I have found the aggregate device info in .GlobalPreferences.plist and the
com.apple.AudioDevicePrefs.plist, but deleting them does not resolve the
problem (I have gotten the byhost ones as well).
So... What am I missing; what magic is required to flush all of the
aggregate device state so that I can start over with a clean slate. I would
rather not have to wipe the machine....
Best regards,
