Geoff,

I don't have an answer about CA specifically, but I do know that BWF files are growing in support in the professional audio community. For example, many location digital audio recorders now record to BWF files, and include broadcast specific meta-data (timecode stamps, reel and slate info, for example) which are used by Avid Video editing systems and can be catalogued in Digidesign Pro Tools systems.

Subject: Broadcast Wave format - .bwf

Does CoreAudio do anything with a broadcast wave chunk? Can CA write them?

Does anyone know if this format is catching on? What applications are using the chunk and how are they using it?
