The views are components; so I wonder if the resources are being
built for them? when you run auval, does it say that you have UI
components on both and that it can find them (I presume yes, because
I'm also assuming that this is working fine in AULab)... sorry, not
much help! Perhaps you could try a MOTU developer forum..

hello,
this is obviously going to be difficult to debug without source
code, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any immediate thoughts
on what I might be doing wrong.
I have an AudioUnit music device with a carbon view that I'm
building as a universal binary on my macbook. it validates without
warnings in auval, and works fine in AudioLab on both my macbook
and my ibook g4.
digital performer runs its own AU validation when it starts up. my
AU passes and shows up in the list of AU instruments, but when I
load it on a track in DP on my macbook, the UI doesn't show up (it
doesn't seem to be working at all). however, if I copy the same AU
to my ibook G4, it works fine in DP.
so just to summarize, building UB on i386:
app i386 ppc
==============================
auval validates validates
AudioLab works works
DP validation passes passes
DP broken works
does anything jump out an anybody? has anyone had this problem
before?
thanks in advance.
Joe
