Dear fellow listmembers,
this is my first post, so bear with me if I'm doing something illegal here.
I have the following question:
I'm working in Applescript Studio, calling the 'afrecord' and 'afplay' command line tools.
I would like the user of my application to be able to do the following:
1) Record audio (done: afrecord)
2) Play audio (done: afplay)
3) Make a selection (done: I provide a GUI for defining a start and end-point)
4) Apply the selection to the recording, and save a new, cropped, file.
The last point I cannot accomplish:
afplay has the option to indicate the starting and ending point; it would be nice, if I would be able to send the result of afplay as an input to afrecord, but I wouldn't know how to do that.
As mentioned above, I am just a simple Applescript guy, so any deeper, abstracter coding is beyond the capabilities of my brain.
I hope some of you can help me out here.
Best regards
Manfred
