Logic and mono-to-stereo

Hi,

if I've implemented a plug-in based on AUInlineEffectBase and am using
the usual n-to-n kernel behaviour, when loading it into Logic as a
mono-to-stereo plug, does Logic
a) instantiate a 1-to-1 plug and duplicate the output?
b) instantiate a 2-to-2 plug and duplicate the input?

What I want is (b). If it's (a), what's my easiest way to special-case
the 1-to-2 case while retaining generic n-to-n processing for other
cases?

Many thanks, os.
