Thanks for the tips. I have a user that is getting the error "A plug- in seems to be causing problems in Multi Processor (Multi Threading) mode" when the track with my plugin starts. After that he gets a -10011 System Overload error message.

Unfortunately, I can't duplicate the problem on any of my machines with LP8 though. Has anyone else hit this one? My other suspicion is that he may just be running out of CPU...

Has anyone found that their plugins have tripped over the upgrade from LP7 to LP8? What are changes for LP8?

Here's what I've so far seen:

Logic 8 as a host more closely resembles AU Lab than Logic 7. Anybody like me who does generic AUs will find the interface looks like it does in AU Lab. I learned this from a screenshot sent by a user- this may mean that flags like Logarithmic, which worked in AU Lab but not in Logic 7 (at least Express) will now work.

A bug my users were having where Logic wasn't saving settings for them, but would restore the settings in a jump if you touched a control, has been fixed. This might actually be related to...

A bug my _DP_ users were having turned out to be my fault, because I was assuming that hosts would call 'reset' by themselves- and Logic 8 stopped doing this. I'm told this is actually more rigorous to the AU spec, so I'm all for it and am currently revising over 60 plugins to honor that.

Multichannel plugins aren't supposed to work for Logic 8, and some have been reported as broken, like Drumkit From Hell Superior.
