Actually, Logic 8 now finally supports the AU spec for multiple
outputs so
DFH Superior works better than ever in Logic 8. The problem for
Superior
users that upgrade to Logic 8 is that their old Logic 7 projects
will not
load correctly in Logic 8. More specifically the Superior plugs won't
load because Logic 7 seems to use a different naming than Logic 8,
most likely including it's bogus opinion on the outputs of the plugs.
This is not expected behavior - please file a bug report. I know a
colleague
of mine has DFH so I shall be able to debug this on his machine.
Another source of confusion is that the plugs have to be individually
rescanned after an upgrade to Logic 8 or they won't be available at
all.
Did you experience this on your machine? We have never seen such
behavior in our test center. Logic 8 is using a different cache system
than Logic 7 did, so it usually starts with creating a new cache when
being launched for the first time. Can you provide more details about
the
different behavior you're seeing?
Thanks,
Stefan
