Well, I learned via their discussion boards, that other people haven't
been able to do much with the MIDI CC messages either.  Apparently
complete MIDI support in the hardware isn't there yet.  Hopefully the
rumored firmware update that's supposed to be released at the end of
the month will have some fixes.

Good to get a background about MIDI though.  I appreciate the
schooling I've had here so far.
