Many thanks, Bob! I suspected that. I need to output (and input) bit-perfect, sample rate-controllable, low latency audio. I'm not sure Java Sound allows for this kind of control.

Hi Mikael

Access to Core Audio from Java is no longer supported. You'll need to create your own JNI interface, or alternatively, rewrite your Java to use the standard Java Sound API.

Is access to Core Audio from Java still supported? If so, where can I find the usual API javadoc and the classes?

I will be porting a number of advanced tools for assessing quality of audio devices and of DSP algorithms from Windows to OSX. The tools are written in Java and on Windows platform they use in-house developed JNI interface to ASIO. I plan to replace ASIO by Core Audio on OSX platform.

TIA
